Dr. Joshua Joy Dara, Sr. has pastored Zion Hill in Pineville, Louisiana since 1996 along with his wife, Elizabeth Dara. The church had their minds set on an entirely different Pastor, but God had a different plan for Dr. Joshua Joy Dara, the Zion Hill family, and the community of central Louisiana.

The start of his ministry began with pastoring a 75-members congregation, which has grown to over 1,700 members and continues to grow under the anointed teachings of Pastor Joshua Joy Dara, Sr. Through the vision of Pastor Dara, Zion Hill is growing in every aspect according to the five-fold purpose of the New Testament church (Worship, Evangelism, Fellowship, Discipleship, and Ministry).

Joy Dara Ministries, Inc. was created July 2001. The partnership of Zion Hill and Joy Dara Ministries allow for the Word of God to be heard by Dr. Joshua Joy Dara on radio, television, and the internet. Sermons and teachings from Joy Dara Ministries are made available in several media format for in debt studying of the Word of God. Pastor Dara's teachings focuses on feeding people the anointed Word of God by the leading of the Holy Spirit, thereby producing in them wholeness, maturity, and a closer relationship with God.

Dr. Joshua Joy Dara and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Pineville, Louisiana. They are natives of Nigeria, Africa and earn their American citizenship in April 2000 after 20 years in the USA. They have five children; Joshua, Joy, Janice, Jumoke, and Jessie all born in America. Pastor Dara is also an attorney at law for the state of Louisiana.
